Our Classroom Leveled Library & Guided Reading Rotations

I have been meaning to make this post and am finally getting around to it.  For those of you who have not had a chance to visit our classroom library, now you can take a picture tour!  :)

Since each student knows their independent reading level, they are able to choose books that are just the right fit for them.  At the beginning of the year, we started our Guided Reading Rotations.  I meet with two groups a day for 20-25 minutes.  Therefore, I meet with each group twice a week.  The students have done a wonderful job with the rotations and continue to amaze me with their reading stamina, quality of work, and respect for students in their groups as well as in other groups.  Each student's independent reading level has increased greatly since the start of the year  Way to go!

Here are some more of our classroom books.
