A Visit From the WSHS Football Team
Today, the WSHS Football Team took time out of their day to visit Goodview Elementary! Coach Casselius greeted us and explained to the Goodview students that academics and athletics go hand in hand. He told us that the guys on the team have to have good grades in order to play in games! He also told us that "Readers are Leaders" and talked about how important reading is. After his greeting, the team members introduced themselves, told us the position they play, and what elementary school they attended. We were excited to see some Goodview alumni on the team! Next, the players came back to each of the classrooms to read. We had three players in our class: Terran, Jake, and Brandon. They did a wonderful job reading to us and answering our questions! Thank You, Coach Casselius and Football Players :) We had a blast meeting the team, learning the fight song, and will always remember that "Readers are Leaders.

Unite Against Bullying
PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center's Unity Day was held on Wednesday, October 10th. As an elementary school, we did not participate in as many activities as the high school students did, but we definitely took a stand against bullying! The elementary students and staff were asked to wear orange to show their support. I was happy to see so many of the students in our class participate! In our classroom, we are doing our part everyday to be buddies...not bullies!

"Talking with an Artifact"
Native American Unit
In our Third Grade classroom, we are currently learning about the Sioux Indian tribe. We were fortunate enough to attend the Great Dakota Gathering on September 14th and have been able to relate the things we are learning and studying to our experiences that day!
